Creative Director Robin Wilde was first commissioned to help with the launch of Living Wage for Families BC’s new Living Wage rates in November 2022, and has continued to support the organization since, providing communications and design support in their work to help ensure people in British Columbia can earn enough to pay for essentials.
Social Media Content
Robin worked alongside Living Wage BC to produce localised content informing people about the Living Wage. This included localised rate graphics for every area for which a Living Wage calculation was produced, explainers of the difference between the Minimum Wage and the Living Wage, and breakdowns of local budgets that make up the Living Wage.
Print Design
In 2025 and 2026, Robin worked along Living Wage BC and its partners to produce the Living Wage Report, which breaks down the calculation method and findings used to produce the final Living Wage figure. This was a substantial piece of work which you can read in full here.
He also produced localised briefing documents for each Living Wage region, with data merged in InDesign, which were distributed to each of Living Wage BC’s local partners and to local media outlets to help generate understanding and coverage.
Web Design and Development
Robin’s work has also included updates to the organisation’s website, as well as development of a bespoke tool to allow employers to determine any pay rise necessary to achieve Living Wage certification. Since then, he has also helped them adapt many of their materials following a 2024 rebrand, worked alongside them on several reports and briefings, and developed a Living Wage Employer filter tool in early 2025.
