Disabled Children’s Partnership

Client: Disabled Children's Partnership

Project Date: 2026

In 2026, the Disabled Children’s Partnership asked Creative Director Robin Wilde to help develop personalised campaign materials for every MP in England ahead of Labour Party Conference. This was a complex multimedia project, but one delivered with some success and which will allow DCP to build on the infrastructure developed for it in the future.

SEND Needs In Your Area Tool

This tool on the DCP website was developed based on a need to quickly show Special Educational Needs data broken down by constituency using a postcode search. By entering their postcode, users are shown relevant statistics about their constituency and council area, as well as prompted to download a two-page PDF report, and a shareable graphic which can be used to campaign on improving access to SEND support. The tool uses the postcodes.io API as well as chart.js and some custom Javascript to generate the charts and pull relevant data.

Localised MP Briefings

Using InDesign’s data merge tools, custom chart-generating code and a dataset compiled by DCP, we produced several hundred PDF briefings to be sent out to MPs alerting them to the state of SEND support services in their constituency and local council area. DCP used these as a basis to campaign among MPs for improvements to support. As well as PDF versions, a smaller shareable graphic was produced for users of the web tool to download.
