From 2019-2021, Creative Director Robin Wilde worked as Digital Officer for the Co-operative Party, the sister party to the Labour Party, which currently has 41 MPs and more than 900 sitting councillors. In this capacity, he supported the party’s 50 candidates in the 2019 General Election, worked to expand the party’s membership by 20%, and worked to promote Co-operative Party campaigns and values through digital and social media, including at the 2021 local and devolved elections, where the party fielded 907 candidates.

Event and Campaign Branding and Promotion
Much of our membership growth was driven by specific events and campaigns we ran, which were primarily promoted through digital channels. I was responsible for developing branding for conferences, campaign landing pages, digital ads and more.

Social Media Content
As well as campaign-specific content, Robin helped to populate the party’s social media feeds, including creating reusable design formats to streamline content creation.

Print Materials
Robin was tasked with the quarterly production of the party’s membership magazine, the Pioneer, distributed to over 11,000 party members and including the latest from its campaigns, elected representatives and the broader Co-operative movement.

Live Streaming
In 2020, the Co-op Party’s in-person conference were halted by the Covid-19 pandemic. Robin was tasked with developing a way to host a virtual conference, streamed through YouTube in September 2020, mostly from his living room! He built a streaming deck using OBS Studio from the ground up, and helped the conference be one of the party’s most successful virtual events, with over 600 online attendees. This format of event was used again for subsequent regional conferences, and for the 2021 local elections launch.
